I've felt called to the world of politics for as long as I can remember. I've spent the better part of my adult life volunteering for countless campaigns, making plenty of good trouble with a variety of progressive, grassroots organizations and have spent many an election day working at polling centers.
So what changed? Why this race? Why now?
A few years ago, I realized I'd asked "how can I help?" one too many times. Something had to change and in 2023, something did change. I watched my brother die. His death, the months leadup to it and the years of untold suffering all came to a head when I realized just how much of his suffering was absolutely unnecessary because it has nothing to do with his health.
The system had failed him and I expect it will continue to fail the rest of us unless we do something about it. We need people in office who care about what matters to us, the people. The time of self-serving politicians is over! Now is the time for change. It's time for politicians to get out of our house and let us get back to the business of living! Life is hard enough these days. We shouldn't have to fight our legislators to live it our way.

Integrity underpins the three campaign pillars. Without integrity, what's the point? It means doing what's right and not getting caught up in right now. We should do what's right, especially for the future, and not just right now.
Community: In the right hands, community unites. In the wrong hands, community is used against us, to keep us divided.
Investment: In people, in processes, in community, in the future.
Possibilities: When we point ourselves in the right direction and have people who care involved, possibilities are endless. Let's create a future worth living.
